THE ADVENTURES OF
BIA DE COMPOSTABILIS

The adventures of Bia De Compostabilis

At last the Mater-Bi® mascot has been given a name! Bia shot up the chart of possible names for the mascot until it reached the top. Now the mascot has got not just a name but also a surname to go with it! And now Bia de Compostabilis is ready to recount her adventures!

A new proposal/call for ideas for schools and individuals.
While thanking all those who took part in the search for a name for our mascot, now we’re looking to the readers of our newsletter to find keen narrators of the new adventures of Bia who would like to write a story on an environmental theme linked to Mater-Bi®. Put your imagination to the test! If your creative project is selected by our staff, you will receive a lovely gift.

For schools

Mater-Bi® is the versatile and innovative bioplastic used to provide environmentally sustainable solutions and products which are to be found in everyday life: shopping bags, rubbish bags, agricultural mulch film, fruit net bags, paper wrapping and tissues, plates, cutlery and cups, ice cream cups and spoons, etc.

Mater-Bi® is proof that research into the creation of renewable materials can lead to biodegradable and compostable products that respect the environment. A specific subject that tackles the great cultural challenge of the coming years: to understand the life cycle of materials and products in order to assess their global impact in terms of the use of raw materials, energy, etc.

Discovering Mater-Bi® is a simple story that can help us become conscientious consumers … for an environmentally aware present and future.

FOR TEACHERS
The website www.allascopertadelmaterbi.it, suitable for all ages, provides you with teaching materials to inform and teach the new generations about the scientific research and technological innovation underlying the new products from the bioplastics family, to show that it is possible to change your habits and behaviour and that there is also some good news on environmental subjects.

All these activities can be experienced personally, with your class, at the places where the interactive, multimedia totem or workshops are on tour.
